About Altronic

Altronic began developing industrial ignition products in the 1960s. By 1966, Ajax had adopted the Altronic I system as an alternative to a standard magneto ignition. The Altronic product remains the standard system today on Ajax engines - 56 years and counting. Over this period Altronic ignition systems have become the standard on natural gas stationary engines and are fitted on such engines on an OEM basis worldwide.

In the 1970s, Altronic began development of related instrumentation and control products. The pioneering, patented Altronic digital annunciator transformed oil field panels bringing them into the electronic age. Today Altronic instruments and controls are among the most advanced and sophisticated available. These monitor, protect and control natural gas engines and compressors and are offered as stand-alone products or in the form of an engineered control panel.

Altronic operated as a private company through 2008 and has been a member of the Hoerbiger Group since January 1, 2009.
